Rising SRC-2005
The Rising SRC-2005 is a large ghettoblaster from the year 1980. It is 61cm wide and 42cm tall with the handle up. It features 20cm woofers, big LED meters, OPS music search, Loudness, Stereo Wide, and a lighted tuner dial. The woofers are marked "Rising HSP-004 4Ω 5W Japan 16B" and the tweeters are marked "Rising HSP-003 4Ω 3W Japan 16L". The amplifier consists of two Rohm BA532 amplifier chips (the same chips used by the Sanyo M-X920 and the Sanyo M9998).
We have not found a service manual for it, but there IS a service manual for the Yorx K3681 which is the exact same boombox. You can find the service manual on that page.
It is very similar to the Rising SRC-2015 (the famous "20/20"). Here are the main differences:
- The SRC-2005 has square, punch-metal grills. The SRC-2015 has round, lightweight mesh grills instead.
- The SRC-2005 has a chrome bar under the cassette deck. The SRC-2015 has chrome bars on each side instead.
- The tape doors are different.
- The tuner dial graphics are different.
- The microphones are located in different places.
- The SRC-2005 has smaller dustcaps.
- The SRC-2005 has center detent positions on its bass, treble, and balance knobs. The SRC-2015 does not.
- The SRC-2005 has a cool metal plate above the VU meter. The SRC-2015 does not.
- They both have the same controls and inputs, but in slightly different locations.
- The SRC-2005 weighs 7.4kg, while the SRC-2015 weighs only 7.2kg
